Bespoke and Custom Orders Policy
At minervapdx, I take great pride in the collaborative process of creating one-of-a-kind heirlooms. Because custom pieces are designed and handcrafted specifically for you, they are subject to the following terms:
1. The Design & Approval Process
For bespoke projects (like our Class Rings or Tribute pieces), the process involves a design phase where we finalize stones, metals, and dimensions.
- Approval: Your final approval of the design (via sketch or digital mockup) is required before I begin the physical creation (wax carving and casting).
- Changes: Once the wax has been cast into metal, structural changes are no longer possible. Any changes requested after casting may incur additional labor and material fees.
2. Payment & Deposits
- Full Payment: For items listed on the site (like the Modern Class Ring), full payment is required upfront.
- Deposits: For entirely new bespoke commissions, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin the design and sourcing process. The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to shipping.
3. Timelines
Hand-carving and casting is a slow, intentional craft.
- Standard Timeline: Please allow 4–6 weeks for the creation of your custom piece.
- Deadlines: If you need a piece for a specific date (graduation, anniversary, etc.), please let me know at the start of our consultation.
4. Returns & Exchanges
- Final Sale: All custom-made, bespoke, and engraved items are Final Sale. Because these pieces are made to your specific size and requirements, they cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Cancellations: If you need to cancel an order, please contact me within 24 hours of purchase. Once work has begun on your piece, the order cannot be canceled.
5. Sizing
Accuracy is key! I recommend being sized by a professional jeweler before ordering. While many of my rings can be resized for a small fee, some designs (like full-texture bands) cannot be resized without altering the design.
